Reporting to the Director of IT, the Systems Administrator is responsible for delivery of key Microsoft systems, applications, and processes underlying DM’s IT infrastructure.  Responsibilities include:

  • Experience with Microsoft SQL, Installation, Administration, Maintenance
  • Experience with Microsoft Exchange, Installation, Administration, Maintenance
  • Design and deploy new systems and enhancements to existing hardware, applications and operating systems
  • Experience with troubleshooting/diagnosing Active Directory issues, including overall domain controller health
  • Experience with Active Directory, including upgrades and managing multiple sites
  • Experience with Advanced Group Policy Management
  • Experience with Microsoft Office365
  • Advanced knowledge of PowerShell scripting in the datacenter and corporate environments
  • Maintain and administer corporate and datacenter Cisco UCS, VMware, VDI, and storage infrastructures
  • Install new/rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc… in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software and connectivity problems, including user access and systems configuration
  • Configures hardware and software for the corporate and datacenter environments
  • Performs maintenance and release upgrades on a timely basis
  • Maintain and administer backup systems and document all backup policies
  • Creates and maintains documentation
  • Keeps technical management informed about progress, problems, and activities
  • Keeps peers informed about changes, improvements, etc… that might affect them
  • Provide in-depth technical and design expertise on large-scale infrastructure projects for enterprise-class company
  • Clearly communicate problem/resolution process to management at all levels
  • Contribute to written proposals and develop technical documentation
  • Presentation of design and deployment strategies
  • Support business needs with new but mainstream technologies
  • Support and implement requirements for compliancy
  • Ensure that best practices are used when deploying new hardware and processes
  • Security must be focus on all deployments

  • Prior Exchange Administration experience
  • Prior backup and recovery experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline; equivalent experience is acceptable
  • Must be a self-motivated
  • Must be able to work in teams and by self
  • At least 7-10 years of solid systems engineering experience assessing, architecting, project planning, implementing, documenting and supporting large-scale computing environments; with an emphasis on Microsoft, Virtualization, storage Solutions and Networking technologies
  • Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills
  • A professional, business-focused attitude and courteous manner towards clients, partners, and peers
  • Solid experience presenting and/or demonstrating new technology recommendations from a business perspective
  • Ability to work weekends and/or off hours as needed to meet business needs
  • Ability to travel to remote sites across the US as needed
